Determining the date of manufacture of slide rules is an act in of itself.
Some manufacturers were meticulous. Some where not.
Pickett is one of the later group.
In Vol 1, No 1, 1992, of the Journal of the Outhred Society, Rodger Shepherd did an exellent job of documenting Pickett slide rule dating.
This page is but a small attempt to add additional information to this dating method.
I have added a 5th style to the posts and cursors as shown in the figures below.
